WG's MUSIC

Will Geraldo began making music in 1988, in his native São Paulo,

when he took part in a thrash metal band as a bass guitarist.

Growing up in a smaller town, Will found himself lacking big opportunities for a career in music, so he hopped from band to band filling in for needed positions. In 1990 he wrote his first song, and the rest is history.

His music has always been heavily influenced by electro, metal, jazz, progressive rock and industrial,

giving his sound an eclectic feel.

“I always had a bit of trouble trying to determine what genre of music I was making, but in time I accepted

the fact that this was my music,” says Will. “Genres were only a tiny idea of what I was writing”.

Today, Will Geraldo primarily produces a blend of art rock and progressive rock, electronica, trip-hop, acid jazz and experimental music. He cites his main musical influences as Peter Gabriel, Fish, David Bowie, Steve Hogarth, Robert Fripp,

Brian Eno, Jean-Michel Jarre, Nick Cave, Alan Wilder and Leonard Cohen.

His experimentation with instruments and the genre bending variety set the tone of his music and in here you can get to know a little bit of his bands and side projects.

Acid Jazz, Trip Hop, Ambient and Art Rock summed together to make what it's known as Will Geraldo's solo work which just couldn't fit within existent projects and that's how it all started.

Released in early 2016 "We Share The Same Moonlight" is Will's first solo full lenght album.

Formed in 2008, V.A.I.N. has released three albums and one EP with its Post Progressive sound.

With influences ranging from Miles Davis to Porcupine Tree we can say that V.A.I.N. is quite innovative and never repeats itself from one album to another.

More Prog Metal oriented and hugelly influenced by King Crimson and Gentle Giant, TOOH has released one full lenght album which was quite acclaimed by prog and metal fans.

It all started in 2011 as a side project of Will Geraldo and ended up becoming a four piece band.

A long running project which started in 1990 and evolved along the years having released loads of demo-tapes and one EP.

Industrial Metal is probably the closest we can get when it comes to define DBVOG's music.
